Ashgrove Privacy Policy

Summary

Ashgrove is an offline, single-player game. We do not collect, receive, store, or share personal information. The game has no accounts, ads, or analytics.

What We Collect

Nothing. The game does not send information about you or your device to us or to anyone acting on our behalf.

What Stays on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device:

  • Your saved game and the endings you have reached

  • Your settings, including volume, vibration, flashing images, language, narration voice, and scare intensity

  • Which version of the Terms of Use you accepted

  • Whether an update is required

  • The list of in-app purchases you own

Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage in your device settings deletes this information. We cannot see or recover it.

In-App Purchases

The two optional purchases, “Scare Me Less” and “Scare Me More,” are sold and charged by Google Play on Android and by Apple on iOS. They handle your payment details and purchase records under their own privacy policies. We never receive your payment information.

To show prices, complete a purchase, or restore purchases, the game communicates with the store app on your device. The store’s billing software may send purchase and diagnostic information to Google or Apple.

Children

Ashgrove is a horror game for adults aged 18 and over, as stated in its Terms of Use. It is not directed at children.

We do not knowingly collect information from children. Because we collect no information at all, there is nothing held about a child to review or delete. A parent with a question can contact us using the address below.

Third Parties

The game does not include third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or sign-in services. The only third-party code that communicates outside your device is the store’s billing library described above.

Permissions

On Android, the game asks for no runtime permissions. Its install-time permissions, INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, and BILLING, come from Google Play’s billing library and are used for purchases.

Update Checks

To tell you when a newer version is available or required, the game checks with the store:

  • Android: The Google Play Store app on your device provides the answer. The game itself sends nothing.

  • iOS: The game makes one request to Apple’s public App Store lookup service. The request contains only the game’s identifier and your device’s country setting. Like any internet request, it reaches Apple with your IP address. Apple’s privacy policy applies. We receive nothing.

The game makes no other network connections.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If the game ever starts collecting information, we will update the policy before releasing that version.
